Travis
Owen
Travis Owen operates the
Dolphin Inn on Ft Myers Beach.
That is a great place to
live I must say. The beach there is the widest – almost
200 yards to the water! Travis said he has always
thought of flying and now he gets to fulfill his dreams.
After his training week he purchased a used Fresh Breeze
Simonini from PPGTrader.com and a new MacPara Muse3.
Travis get to kite each day on the beach. Spring break
anyone? Have fun Travis – welcome!

Kim
C!
Kim C. lives in Cape Coral and works on Pine Island. She
knows what we like to eat because she works at Pine
Island Cafe next to the Win Dixie.
The café is a
regular destination for us because the food is good and
the staff is great (yes even Joey!) Kim decided to take
a tandem instructional flight to see if this is
something she would like to do more. She looks happy to
me – Judges?

Pat
R
Patrick Ranalli owns the Ranalli
Parasailing operation on Ft Myers Beach – that is a good
job! He stays very busy as the city has limited the quantity
of parasail operators and will not be allowing any new ones
anytime soon. Government (please don’t get me started)
restrictions make his life tough and in my opinion us
Paraglider folks have it even better than we know. Patrick
has purchased a new logo wing that you will soon see flying.
If you want to parasail – call Patrick! Fly safe Pat!
Mary
S.
Mary is a great pilot when she
stops working long enough to fly! Mary earned her USPPA
PPG2 rating over 4 or 5 months – taking is easy and
slow. No extra charge! Mary is flying a Solo trike and
she handles it well. Why is it that women usually do
better in PPG training than the men? Well Mary is no
exception and she excels on the job also from what I
hear! Big promotion recently! Go Mary – have fun and fly
safe!

Ripley
S!
Ripley Smith is another woman (13 years
young in here case) that is flying better than many of her
gentlemen pilot friends! Just ask her dad Rockwell! Ripley
has been working hard for a long time to get these skills –
taking many tandem flights and sweet talking her mom and dad
for a machine and wing to fly. She is flying a new MiniPlane
mounted on a Flash trike with al wing borrowed from Sam
Nash. Atlanta is lucky to have Ripley to fly with! Way to go
Ripley!
Paul
L
Paul Laurence
operates a talent company in SW Florida. They handle the big
names in the industry doing shows and appearances. This is
the guy to know if you ever put down your wing long enough
to enjoy life outside PPG.
Yes there is such a thing! Paul
is a great guy and is a lot of fun to be around. We are
happy that Paul has chosen PlanetPPG for his flying needs.
What are they? MiniPlane of course! His wing selection -
Ozone. Have fun Paul!
Kyle
H.
Kyle Hepp makes things, lots of things.
His woodshop has a vacuum so large that when he installed it
the code enforcement folks were giving him the eye. Kyle is
a fun guy and we enjoy being with him here at the airport.
Kyle wanted to fly since he was little – now he can! Welcome
Kyle!
Larry
O
Larry O. is a retired Army Special
Forces gentleman living in Punta Gorda. Larry always has
some great stories to tell while we are para-waiting. You
know that is when it is too windy to fly and you sit and
wait for the conditions to improve! Larry has purchased one
of the rental trikes from Kent V. and now claims the FB
Monster / Bullet as his own. Larry is thinking of purchasing
an Apco Lift for a paraglider to go with the trike.
Welcome
Larry – You Da Man!
Phil and
Eric
Phil C and his son
Eric are a trip! We have so much fun with these guys. Eric
and Phil live near Daytona Florida and have found a great LZ
right on their home beach. Phil and Eric both weigh about
150 pounds and selected MiniPlane engines (you can’t go
wrong there). Phil mounted his MiniPlane engine on a Bullet
trike because as Phil says “my 60+ year old legs look good
but may not work as advertised….” GO Phil and Eric – have
fun fellows – and come back to PIA anytime!
Life is good.
